Manufacturer Description

This guide showcases knives used by America's clandestine military in Southeast Asia during the Vietnam War. It offers the collector and others thinking about the period a way of recognizing honest SOG (Studies and Observations Group) specimens and separating them from fakes. With beautiful color photos that reveal a high level of detail, the book identifies all recognized SOG specimens (over 165 knives) and includes unusual individualized knives and custom-made combat knives made in the United States. Areas of the book concentrate on Randalls, Eks, Gerbers, and the knives made by tribal craftsmens in Southeast Asia. This is the eighth in Mike Silvey's series on military knives.
