VORTEX RAZOR GEN II 1-6X24

The Razor 1-6x24 is designed for the AR carbine platform and has all the characteristics required for tactical shooting and 3-Gun competition, but it is also suitable for large or dangerous game hunting.

Generous eye relief (4 inches/100mm) makes it an excellent choice for safari rifles, close range bush hunting, or fast tactical style AR semi-autos. The Razor delivers high levels of clarity, contrast, resolution, colour accuracy, light transmission and edge to edge sharpness.

There’s a large diopter adjustment, and a choice of three reticle types. Turret clicks are 1/4 MOA/0.2 Mrad (Milleradian) and maximum elevation is 150 MOA/43 Mrad. Reticle options include the VMR2 reticle in MOA or Mrad versions, and the very popular with 3-Gun competition reticle, the JM-1 BDC – used by world champion US competitor Jerry Miculek.

Depending on magnification, the 1-6x24’s field of view varies between 20 and 115 feet at 100 yards. The Razor’s HD glass is fully multi-coated on all air to glass surfaces, and come with the Vortex proprietary XR anti reflective coatings that guarantee top optical performance. Exterior glass surfaces are treated with Vortex’s scratch, oil and salt resistant ArmorTek coating, a process that uses plasma technology for greater durability.

The scope is O-ring sealed and purged with argon gas for totally waterproof and fog proof performance. The Razor is built tough on a single 30mm aircraft grade aluminium tube with capped zero-stop and resettable turrets offering 50 MOA adjustment in a single turn.

Quick and precise turret travel combined with a fast target acquisition reticule help provide rapid, accurate fire. Shooters can also custom match the ballistics of their loads to the drop (BDC) hashmarks of their reticle using the Vortex LRBC ballistic program.

Reticle illumination is activated by sliding out the locking dial on the left side of the turret housing, and offers 11 intensity levels. The true, visible in daylight, central red dot covers 0.5 MOA, and offers versatility for competition, and/ or close range deer or pig hunting – especially in thick bush with low light conditions. The versatile Razor, like all other Vortex products, comes with unconditional lifetime warranty. VORTEX RAZOR  GEN II 1-6X24 RRP: $249
