The Baja 3.0's big brother has actually shown up. Based upon customer feedback we chose to stretch the popular 3 inch design. In location of the Coyote Tan powder coat, we've upgraded the surface with our well-known Black River Wash, which offers each knife its own distinct appearance. Green Canvas Micarta handle scales and a high-quality leather dangler sheath (offered in black or brown) make this a must-buy for users and collectors alike. Unlike TOPS' other models in the 4 to 4.5 inch range, this one is 5/32" thick. That thickness along with a full flat grind offers it strength over 1/8" blades, but permits it to maintain exceptional cutting abilities given that it's slightly thinner than 3/16". Our professional heat reward offers a long enduring edge that is simple to re-sharpen once it is eventually needed. The jimping on the spine and along the finger guard is perfect for a solid grip in hard usage or slippery conditions. Due to the thinner blade, it offers you much better accuracy and higher range from making fragile cuts to cutting thick branches with ease. These exact same qualities make the BAJA 4.5 fantastic for food prep. The inspiration for the name and style originates from Baja California. From the peak of Devil's Peak at 10,157 feet, to the low Sonoran Desert, to the stunning beaches, Baja is known for its contrasts. It is acknowledged worldwide for a few of the most rugged, "bad ass" surface. And naturally, TOPS are made in the USA!
