The Kilo 2000's claims to fame are its distance capabilities—reflective targets to a whopping 3,400 yards, trees to 1,500 and deer to 1,200 - and its speed.
In a head-to-head test with my Leupoid RX-1200i TBR, the Sig Sauer Kilo 2000 laser rangefinder was not only faster to get readings on distant targets, it was also easier to get a lock on the first try.
The farthest readings I got with the 2000 were on scrub brush and rocks out to 1,200 yards, a figure that bested the Leupold laser rangefinder by about 100 yards.
The Hyperscan mode was super fast, with distance values changing seamlessly as I swept targets near and far—clearly superior to the Leupold's abilities for the same feature.
The optical sharpness of the Kilo 2000's 7X lens system is excellent, and the diopter is easy to adjust. In addition to "last target" or "best target" it gives you the option of line of sight or AMR (angled modified range , which accounts for inclines or declines) modes.
However, this laser rangefinder does not offer any sort of ballistic compensation, which the Leupold does. The dimensions of both units are similar, although for some reason the Leupold fits my hand better.
However, the Kilo 2000 laser rangefinder has nice pebbling texture on the top and bottom for a sure, Suggested retail is $500, which puts it well on the high side for range - finders — especially since it doesn't offer onboard ballistic compensation. But if speed, accuracy and reach are what matter to you, the Sig Sauer Kilo 2000 7x25 Laser Rangefinder won't disappoint.
Get accurate range results in all kinds of light levels and terrain with the compact Sig Sauer Kilo 2000 7x25 Laser Range Finding Waterproof Monocular. Display brightness automatically adjusts to changing ambient light conditions so your results are always easy to read on these Range Finders from Sig Sauer. The intuitive user interface on the Sig Sauer Kilo 2000 7x25 Lightweight Laser Range Finding Monocular makes it easy to use and displays only necessary data while ranging.
Updating at 4X per second in HyperScan mode, the KIL02000 rangefinder with patented LightWave™ DSP technology is amazingly fast as well. Couple that with the ability to range reflective targets at 3400 yards, trees at 1500 yards, and deer at 1200 yards for simple, intuitive long distance ranging.
The built in inclinometer calculates AMR™ Angle Modified Range for angled shots. Our proprietary Lumatic OLED Display™, automatically adjusts display intensity to match ambient light conditions, bright in bright conditions and dim in twilight to protect your eye. The KIL02000's simplified user interface displays your system status and while ranging, only provides your necessary data.
The Kiio2000 will become the simplest, fastest and most accurate laser rangefinder you have ever used. Designed for hunters, archers, military, law enforcement and competitive shooters, the Kilo2000 is capable of ranging over a mile with results to the nearest 1/10 of a yard, at the speed of light.
