UPDATED :

DO YOU FIND YOURSELF BUMBLING AROUND THE SAFE ZONE OR RESPAWN POINT AIMLESSLY LOOKING FOR AMMO, A QUICK BITE TO EAT OR A GULP OF WATER? FOREVER LOSING THINGS IN THE "KIT PILE"? THERE'S NO NEED TO TAKE A FULL PACK WITH YOU ONTO THE SKIRMISH FIELD, SOMETHING LIKE FIRST TACTICAL'S RANGE BAG WILL HELP YOU ORDER, ORGANISE AND ACCESS YOUR GEAR WHILST KEEPING IT SAFE AND READY TO REDEPLOY AT ANY TIME

It should be simple, you need ammo, batteries, gas. something to eat and something to drink when playing airsoft and it's not worth carrying these things with you as you go.

Even when playing hardcore Mil-Sim games you'll generally establish a "laying up point" from which you mount an assault from. It's at this point you can drop essential items that you will return to, to re-arm and refresh during the process of completing your objective.

We are all guilty of it though, we dump our bags down, eager to take the fight to our opponents and after 10 minutes, we need to reload.

Everything ends up dumped in a day sack and you spend more time rooting around in there to get at the gear you need than you do using it, heaven forbid you need to relocate the lay up point in which case you end up stumbling around with armfuls of gear like some kind of combat womble.

You need some First Tactical Range Bag organisation. Essentially, the Range Bag is a large duffel bag that has been modded to better suit the range environment.

Made from a 600D polyester, the bag is definitely built to last as well, and will no doubt stand up to the rigours of being thrown in the back of your vehicle and lugged around safe zones and spawn points. In fact we'd say it'll handle just about anything shy of an explosion.

The Range Bag is 18" long, 11" high and 9" wide, meaning it's a pretty big bag. Not big enough to carry a rifle, but definitely big enough to fit some form of SMG like a MP7 or MP9.

That said, we're not too sure this would be the best carrying case for your weapon. A pistol, yes, but not anything bigger.

Instead we'd say the range bag is perfect for anything else you may want to take to a skirmish, with eye protection, ear protection, gloves and ammo being high on the list.

On the subject of general layout, the bag also makes use of four outer pockets; two large side pockets and two even larger front pockets. One thing this bag definitely doesn't lack is storage.

These outside pockets definitely lend themselves well to storing items such as the afore mentioned eye protection, ear protection and gloves, but we also found them hugely helpful to store snacks and consumables to keep you going throughout the day.

The most interesting section of the bag comes in the main compartment though. Opening the main compartment via the hook/loop flap you'll find a pull out carrier, complete with dividers. These dividers are removable as well, allowing you to personalise the pull out carrier.

On top of that (and this is where we really began to appreciate the range bag), you have 2 pistol pockets; one on each side of the carrier, and 10 pistol mag pockets, meaning you won't just have mags thrown around in the bottom of your range bag. You've also got a bottle holder attached to one corner of the carrier.

Overall though, the range bag is a brilliant piece of kit, and one that we were overall very impressed with. It makes an ideal "drop bag" for dumping off at the respawn point or safe zone to keep you supplied and organised whilst in-game.

It's ideal to work out of and keep your sundries in order so you have to spend less time out of the action reloading and organising yourself, instead you can get yourself turned around and back where you are needed most!
