How a Laser Rangefinder Works
Bushnell's Yardage Pro rangefinders use an undetectable, eye-safe Class 1 Laser beam (as classified by the FDA) which is "bounced" off remote objects with the press of a button. Then, the rangefinder's high-speed digital clock determines the time it considered a laser beam to reach a target and go back to the unit. Next, using advanced digital electronic devices, the rangefinder quickly calculates the range within +/-- 1 yard and shows the variety in either lawns or meters on a through-the-lens LCD Display. The whole process is so quickly that less than a second elapses between the time you push the button to create a laser beam to the time the specific variety to your target is displayed.

Reflectivity of Target Types
Because rangefinders "bounce" a laser beam off the target in order to take a measurement, their variety is partly figured out by the reflectivity of the target. To puts it simply, tough or "reflective" targets-- like a rock cliff or semi-truck-- can be determined at greater distances than soft surface targets-- like a deer. Ranges for reasonably reflective targets, like trees, fall someplace in the middle. A lot of experienced hunters will use their rangefinder to regularly approximate varieties to near and remote landmarks prior to they actually encounter a video game animal. By "pre-measuring" varieties to spots where a prize is likely to appear, they can focus on making a precise shot when the decisive moment shows up.

Through-the-lens LCD Display
Bushnell Yardage Pro rangefinders are quick and simple to use due to the fact that everything you have to understand is displayed on our built-in, through-the-lens LCD (Liquid Crystal Display). Here's how it works:
